Oh, That '90s Lip Trend

Last fall, I jumped on the '90s "Kylie Jenner lip" train. Of course, I picked up MAC Whirl lipliner and Velvet Teddy matte lipstick. See how they look on me and see what I think of this trend!

So the "'90s lip" is a dark nude, almost a brown dusty rose. I think I like this on me because I'm pale right now since it's the winter, but I personally wouldn't wear this during the summer when I have more color in my skin. It's definitely moody, but not too much. I actually would wear Whirl alone all over the lip, but Velvet Teddy on its own without Whirl as a liner or any gloss on top is just too brown and zombie-like on me.

In the picture above, I'm pairing my lip look with matte brown eyes to complete my '90s homage.

I would repurchase Whirl for sure, but not necessarily Velvet Teddy.
