Review and Swatches Part Two: Rimmel Apocalips/Show Off Lip Lacquers

 

 Since I've been absolutely loving the Apocalips lip lacquers that I picked up from asos.com a few months ago (see original post), I decided to pick up some more now that they're more readily available in the US, where they're going by the name Show Off. 

On Walgreens.com, I picked up Nova and Aurora (Aurora is a US exclusive shade). They were $4.99 with BOGO 50% off, so that was a steal! At the time, a ton other shades were sold out on the Walgreens site, so I went on asos.com and picked up Stellar and Celestial, which were at $6.79 each.

 

I skipped out on shimmer shades as I'm not too much of a fan of shimmery lip products. I'm now the proud owner of 8 of these babies! I love them so much that I have a container on vanity reserved just for the Apocalips. The creme formula and unique doe foot applicator make these liquid lippies so easy to apply. They are my favorite makeup find of 2013 for sure :)

Celestial

This is a my-lips-but-better rosey pink. 

This is the most natural of the ones I purchased.

Nova

Nova is a wearable light berry pink, leaning more on the cool side.

 

Aurora (US exclusive)

Aurora is a darker coral pink leaning on the warmer side.

It's very similar to Stellar, but more wearable.

Stellar

Stellar is a darker orange-coral pink that's electric bright. This is a show-stopper.
